The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.

A Psalm of David.

1 aAscribe to the Lord, O
Or sons of gods
sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2Ascribe to the Lord the glory
Lit of His name
due to His name;
Worship the Lord din
Or the majesty of holiness
holy array.

3The fvoice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory gthunders,
The Lord is over
Or great
,
imany waters.
4The voice of the Lord is jpowerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces kthe cedars of Lebanon.
6He makes Lebanon lskip like a calf,
And mSirion like a young wild ox.
7The voice of the Lord hews out
I.e. lightning
flames of fire.
8The voice of the Lord
Or causes...to whirl
shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of pKadesh.
9The voice of the Lord makes qthe deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And rin His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10The Lord sat as King at the sflood;
Yes, the Lord sits as tKing forever.

Or May the Lord give
The Lord will give vstrength to His people;
Or May the Lord bless
The Lord will bless His people with xpeace.
